Véronique Landriault, M.Sc.

Biologist

Véronique holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Ottawa and an MSc in Physical Geography from Queen's University. Her research at Queen's focused on the control of landscape on High Arctic wetland water chemistry in Resolute Bay, Nunavut. She actively collaborated with local indigenous communities to assess their needs and concerns surrounding water quality, and conducted extensive aquatic fieldwork and data collection. Véronique's research contributes to understanding the implications of a warming climate on High Arctic wetlands and water quality.

Véronique worked with us as a summer student in 2019 where she assisted with water quality collection and ecological surveys. Since then, Véronique has gained valuable fieldwork experience in Zanzibar, Tanzania and in the Canadian High Arctic, as well as laboratory experience where she analyzed water samples for major ions, total organic carbon, and water stable isotopes.

Since joining Kilgour & Associates Ltd. in June 024, Véronique has worked on a wide array of projects such as surveys of species at risk, and environmental impact statements for local land developments. She has also traveled back to the Arctic, implementing a surface water quality monitoring program for a mining operation.
