Biologist, Project Manager
Maren completed her undergraduate degree at York University in Environmental Studies with a focus on Environmental Sciences and Management. She then proceeded to complete a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management and Assessment at Niagara College Canada with a concentration on soil sciences, surface and groundwater monitoring, sediment analysis, and benthos.
She comes to us with over two years of environmental and agricultural consulting experience, assisting clients to navigate the land development and site rehabilitation processes. She has led numerous studies including Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Studies, Opportunities & Constraints Analysis, Agricultural Impact Assessments, LEAR Studies and Minimum Distance Separation (MDS) I & II studies. Maren has carried out field programs for the collection of soils, water, sediment, and benthos as well as vegetation surveys, wildlife surveys, wind turbine avian and bat mortality monitoring, and land use surveys.
Since joining Kilgour & Associates Ltd. In May 2023, Maren has worked on various projects for land development clients, including Environmental Impact Studies, Headwater Drainage Feature Assessments, and Tree Conservation Reports. Maren is also a certified Ontario Wetland Evaluator (OWES).
Prior to joining Kilgour & Associates Ltd., Maren worked as an Ecologist & Agrologist for a niche consulting firm in Niagara, Ontario, carrying out a wide range of projects relating to land development, urban expansion, ecological restoration, mineral aggregate resources, and agricultural rehabilitation.
