Rob Hallett

Rob Hallett, Dipl.

Rob is an Ecosystem Management Technician, with a broad background and capability in both aquatic and terrestrial disciplines. He started his career with the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority where he gained experience in stream biomonitoring. Since joining Kilgour & Associates in 2011, Rob has carried out field programs in Toronto, Sudbury and the Ottawa areas, where he has collected water, sediments and fish in various kinds of aquatic habitats (lakes, streams, rivers). Rob is an accomplished benthic taxonomist, and processes (sorts and identifies) benthos from our various projects across southern and northern Ontario for our various clients.

Rob also has skills with aquatic and terrestrial plants. He has carried out macrophyte mapping programs on the Spanish River and Victoria Creek, both in northern Ontario. He has mapped large-diameter trees in support of tree conservation reports in the Ottawa area. He has carried out a number of species at risk inventories including surveys designed for Bobolink, Eastern Meadowlark, Barn Swallow, Whip-Poor-Will, and Blanding’s Turtles.

Rob is a certified Butternut Health Assessor.
